As our country strives to provide leadership in tackling the global challenge of climate change, we need to carefully measure our progress in reducing methane and other greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We have seen tremendous progress and reason for optimism over the past year, including the passage of the landmark Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). However, here in New York, which has proudly claimed its 2019 climate law to be the most advanced in the country, a major carbon accounting flaw needs to be fixed. Here’s the issue:

Energy Vision is delighted to officially extend a warm welcome to Suzanne Hunt and Tristan R. Brown, who have recently joined our esteemed board of directors. Suzanne Hunt brings her extensive knowledge as the Director of Policy at Generate Capital, while Tristan R. Brown, the Director of the Bioeconomy Development Institute and Associate Professor of Energy Resource Economics at SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry, adds valuable expertise to our team. Both Suzanne and Tristan assumed their roles on the board in 2021.
